It was a successful day for us at BISS Puxi. We fielded 7 teams and claimed 2 second places, three third places, a seventh and a 15th. I am particularly proud of the KS2 boys who played some excellent football to reach the 5/6 final. Congratulations to Dulwich Shanghai, who beat us 4 – 1 and played the kind of 2 touch football every team should aspire to.

    2009.
    Dulwich Shanghai Cup
    - Whole city event.
    Distance - 3 km

    Report:
On Monday 24th of November, boy and girl runners, both junior and senior, gathered at the SAS Pudong campusDulwich Shanghai Cup
    Kudos to Dulwich
for once again hosting the whole city cross country meet. The course was laid out aroundhighlight of the campus it’s track and it's golf course. All offootball season, the schools sent strongDulwich Shanghai Cup. An impressive 48 teams and the scene was set forcompeted in 5 separate tournaments, on a very high quality race. The coursesunny, Saturday 21st November.
The first thing that struck me
was very carefully prepared so as to provide a challenging and fun run for competitors and anxious coaches alike.
    After a briefing, from
the SAS team, quality of the children lined up on the very windy start line and a few nerves could be seen on their faces.football. The girls were set off firstteams all seemed well organised and ran at a very healthy pace behind the course marshal (riding a bicycle, not running!), there was a slightly longer delay than intended before the boys got under way. The leading boys set a very high pacereal emphasis on passing and soonmovement, with the packodd wonder goal thrown in.
    It
    was very stretched.
    The girls' race ran smoothly
a successful day for us at BISS Puxi. We fielded 7 teams and some very impressive times were set. Unfortunately the boys had been started after too long ofclaimed 2 second places, three third places, a delay so they could not see the girls running ahead of them. The leading boys madeseventh and a wrong turn and began running the course in reverse. After around 700m they realised their mistake and headed back the way they came. The damage was already done as the boys at the rear had been directed around the course correctly. This meant that many15th. I am particularly proud of the KS2 boys ran different distances and finishing times and places did not necessarily represent the abilities of the runners.
As this was a whole city event the top 10 runners from each division were
who played some excellent football to have their photographs taken as a divisional representative. This was no problem forreach the girls race and the top finishers were announced5/6 final. Congratulations to the warm cheersDulwich Shanghai, who beat us 4 – 1 and support of all.
    However,
played the boys race results were not reliable, so in the true spiritkind of CISSA, all of the boys were declared representatives for the day.
A big thank you to all those involved at SAS Pudong for organising a really challenging and interesting course!
2 touch football every team should aspire to.
